Drink in the silence of an old growth rainforest in the Skookumchuk Narrows Provincial Park. This beautiful and relatively flat trail will take you approximately 45 minutes (each way).
The spectacular standing wave and giant whirlpools are courtesy of tide changes and currents that cause 200 billion gallons of water to trade places between the narrows connecting Sechelt and Jervis inlets.
We highly recommend checking tide times before your hike and it’s a beautiful hike even if you happen to miss the peak standing wave time.
